I have always wondered why prince and Michael Jackson stayed in good standing for some of the stuff they released as JWS? Or how the Williams sisters could stay in sports without all the BS? After all the revelations about the Org that I have heard... I wonder if they are paid and the reason they get away with it is that they are PR strategies and really they could give a crap about the org?

Agreed the question the original post posed is rather loaded. In terms of the Dawkinsian scale I consider my self a weak theist ( to those who do not about the scale) I just say that I am agnostic. However, admittedly the irreducible complexity argument does make me wonder if some kind of organizing feature is out their that is indeed intelligent. But because this intellectual inclination of my is not based in any kind of truly empirical argument but more a mathematical one, I choose to live my life as if there isnt one (a supreme deity) in the same vein as William Cliffords book entitled, "The Ethics of Belief". -

Where are the EXJW Feminist Philosophers?
by Luther bertrand ini am working, more in the planning stages, where i am going to offer a commentary on the caleb and sophia cartoons that the org puts out.
i noticed a heavily patriarchal bent to the narrative that these cartoons offer.
i would really enjoy working with someone who has an academic background in feminist philosophy, or at least someone knowledgeable.

What kind of person was Nathan H. Knorr?
by Hecce inwe have several examples in the forum showing that president knorr was not a loving and caring person; one that impressed me was the one about the elderly bethelite that was put out on the streets until his death due to a disagreement with knorr.
i bring to your attention an incident that happened in the country of honduras back in the 50s, it has to do with immoral conduct by a branch overseer and his subsequent disfellowshiping.
i am not critical of the end result of his conduct but rather the salacious and detailed report of this matter putting in the open the details for the whole world to see.

Knorr did develop brain cancer, while we do not know how long the tumor was in his head nor do we know its size or location. However,depending on all those variables they could indeed effect his behavior and interactions with people!
